Shawn McBride Named Atlantic Hockey (NCAA) Rookie Of-The-Week

Freshman center and ex-Saanich Brrave Shawn McBride (Victoria, B.C.) has been named Atlantic Hockey Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.
While American International went 0-3 to open league play this past week, the rookie truly shined recording four points with a pair of goals and assists which is a sign of good things to come.
McBride tallied the lone goal in a 4-1 setback to Sacred Heart in AIC’s home opener on Tuesday before collecting three points against the defending league champion RIT Tigers over the weekend. He now has a four-game point streak dating back to the series finale against Penn State. Read full story here…
